Peer to peer support groups for special guardians

holding handsSUPPORT GROUPS: The team at EMASS would love to launch peer to peer support groups for special guardians and kinship carers in Lincolnshire.

Support groups being launched in Lincolnshire

Would you like to join other special guardians and kinship/family-based carers in Lincolnshire for a cuppa and a chat?

No face-to-face support groups are currently available in Lincolnshire. To fill this gap, the EMASS team plan to hold face-to-face support groups in local venues across Lincolnshire.

One of our EMASS workers will be at each group to chat and to provide information and advice on what carers can expect from:

  • children’s services (assessment, free training and support)
  • schools (Pupil Premium Plus, attachment and nurturing approaches)
  • other agencies (such as Liaise, nurseries and health services).

We will also provide awareness-raising sessions for carers on strategies to help them with the demands of parenting.
