We are now taking bookings for our free EMASS practice-sharing sessions, which we are delivering across Lincolnshire and the East Midlands. These will take place until January 2018 and will focus on:

  • 18 September 2017: Attachment in the classroom (am); Separation and Loss (pm)
  • 16 October 2017: Promoting Pro-social Behaviour (am); Managing Anger and Aggression (pm)
  • 6 November 2017: Presenting a Sensitive Curriculum (am); Managing ASD and ADHD (pm)
  • 22 January 2018: Adolescent Mental Health and Identity Issues for Adopted Children and those Subject to SGOs (am); Communicating with Children (pm).

These interactive EMASS events will be held at different venues, be led by an experienced Family Action trainer, and offer opportunities for networking and sharing best practices.

Who should attend?

EMASS sessions will be suitable for a wide range of school staff (class teachers, teaching assistants, SENCOs, governors, wraparound, supply staff etc), as well as foster parents/carers, local authority workers and other professionals (eg health, social care, adoption/fostering).

How to book?

To book your place on one or more practice-sharing session, please complete and return our EMASS events booking form.

Host an event

We would like to hear from schools/settings that would be interested in hosting a practice-sharing session on their site. To host a session, schools/settings simply need to:

  • have an accessible training room (suitable for 15-20 people)
  • have identified min. 10 people interested in attending the session
  • provide tea/coffee/water
  • have parking facilities nearby (or be close to public transport).

In return for hosting a session, you will be welcome to send up to 10 of your own staff to the session (usually 1-2 per setting per session). The remaining places will be offered to other organisations/individuals in your local area. If you are interested in finding out more, please complete and return this expression of interest form.
