Attachment Friendly and Nurturing Approaches

This free taster session is delivered in schools. It looks at how pupils with attachment issues can present. The session delivers practical ways to address a range of issues using different approaches:

  • whole-school
  • classroom 
  • break time
  • sensory 
  • behavioural.

During the session there are plenty of opportunities for participants to ask questions and engage in discussions.

Feedback on recent taster sessions included:

  • 100% of attendees said it met the course objectives ‘Well’ or better, with 90% saying the course met the objectives ‘Very Well’.
  • 90% said they had increased their knowledge about strategies and approaches to use to support learners.
  • 90% said they felt the presentation and training style was ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’.
  • 70% said they felt the trainer’s level of knowledge and expertise was ‘Excellent’.

Comments included:

'Yes I will put new ideas into action.'

'I will definitely use a lot of strategies discussed in this training. Especially those associated with managing and recognising emotions.”'

Attachment Awareness

This free taster session covers:

  • attachment theory
  • the impact of trauma and neglect
  • nurturing approaches.

Questions are welcome throughout the training. Discussions focus on case studies and providing real-time practical suggestions.

Feedback on recent taster sessions included:

  • 100% of attendees said it met the course objectives ‘Well’ or better.
  • 93% of attendees said they had increased their knowledge about attachment theory, the impact of trauma and nurturing approaches.
  • 100% said they felt the presentation and training style was ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’.
  • 86% said they felt the trainer’s level of knowledge and expertise was ‘Excellent’.

Comments included:
